American Idol 2007 Episode 25 - Top 10 Results Show Review
Here we are at the third week of American Idol eliminations. The idolblog polls have been bang on the money the last two weeks so how will we go tonight?

Taking a look at this weeks polls, what do the numbers indicate about tonight's elimination show.
For the third week in a row, Sanjaya tops the "Who does everyone want to go home" poll with 66% - up on last week. Chris Sligh finds himself in second place on 15% while Haley Scarnato is in third on 8%. Everyone else has less than 3% of the vote each. Jordin Sparks barely registered a vote in this poll this week.
In the "Who is everyone's favourite Idol" poll this week, once again Melinda Doolittle is at the top but her lead has once again shrunk and is now down to 24%. Hot on her heels is Gina Glocksen who makes a big move into second place on 19%. Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks take 14% and 13% of the vote.
Now, who are the bottom three as predicted by the polls?
The bottom three this week is significantly different from last week with the second lowest now having the second highest number of votes in an incredible turn around by Gina Glocksen. In thrid lowest place is Chris Richardson on 5%. Second lowest is Haley Scarnato on 4% but coming in with the lowest number of votes this week is Chris Sligh on 1%.
DialIdol has Jordin Sparks in the third lowest place but the bottom place is tied equal between Haley Scarnato and Chris Sligh on 9.04%. Melinda Doolittle tops their graph but Chris Richardson is surprisingly found in the #2 spot considering he is thrid lowest in our poll.
So who is going home tonight? Stick around and find out but it's looking like it's going to be Chris Sligh. The results are just around the corner.

It's high time true fans get a focused effort on voting for the truely best performers before Sanjaya ends up with a record deal.
HaHa me and my family agree that Sanjaya will be the only person EVER to be this high in the competition to never get a record deal.... who in their right mind would do something like that? lol!
The funniest and most concise review in my message board comes from Idol Hands: ''Sanjaya — toss baby out with 'Bathwater.' '' But Deb2125's critique isn't far behind: ''Sanjaya should take up all 3 of the places in the bottom 3 — his hair, his rail-thin body and his horrible frail voice.'' And then there's Missy, who shared this tidbit with other TV Watch readers: ''Let's just say I now know what hairdo to use to pull off my Sanjaya Halloween costume later this year.''
What did you think of tonight's results show? Were any of you as unamused as me by Ryan's fauxhawk wig? On the flip side, doesn't Wild West-cop drag really work for LaKisha? No, seriously! What was that weird falsetto noise Chris Richardson made when Ryan declared Melinda was safe?
That little girl that was crying for Sanjaya a couple weeks ago should literally be knocked out. He sucks really bad. I think a bunch of drunks get together and vote for him or something, who knows. If he stays longer than Phil or Gina, I'll be PO'd.

I don't care when Sanjaya goes (although sooner would be better than later so we don't have to listen to him) as long as Melinda wins! Love her voice. I think she's sincerely surprised people keep complimenting her. Beautiful voice. I don't like that Lakisha has gotten so phony with wigs and really long nails - ick.
Sanjaya should've been gone. Should've been one of the first to go, if not the first. But yet again another American Idol joke. A waste of time and money. I don't even watch the results show anymore. Im ready to stop watching the show period. They need to get serious.
You shouldn't stop watching the show coz you'll be one of those who can vote for the true american idol.
I think the genuine personality of the contestant show during ryan's interview section. Chris Sligh with his abrasive humor when asked what does he do on his free time-he said crocheting, playing bongo drums in his shorts, etc, then reverted to answering sleeping-NOT FUNNY. When Blake was asked the same question couple weeks back, he first said the name of the fan, then answered reading, listening to music, etc. Very honest guy and sincere too. And yes, Melinda is genuinely nice too. With her wicked humor. Just don't play surprised everytime the judges say good thing about you. Ryan is right, embrace the good comments. I think Melinda is playing us. Blake always say Thank you for the judges comments. That's a plus score. Sanjaya, umm, you don't tell a judge "You're just jealous because you can't pull it off." What A BENT PRICK! Anyways, Lakisha smiles, but she should enjoy the moment because sometimes the camera caught her frowning and smirking. Jordin is always bubbly. Nice personality.
When Ryan Seacrest told that Sanjaya was one of the Top 4 guys during the first eliminations, it's an indicator that Sanjaya has a voting bloc. But, it also means that there are 3 guys better than him. Other wise, Ryan would have said he was one of the Top 3 or Top 2 during that week. Just count how may guys are left: Blake, Chris R. and Phil.
tick tock tick tock YAY!
The Sanjaya factor would be able to dodge another week or two by slicing the weakest of the power-girls. Possibly Haley or if Phil messes up again. Sanjaya's time is ticking

It's all about strategy. Remember the "Soul Patrol" last year? Just wait and listen to Sanjaya's voice improve each week. Listen carefully with your eyes closed. Prince is a pretty successful singer, and Sanjaya will be also.
If the "Soul Patrol"'s voice had been that good his album would have been the number one in chart.
I don't think Sanjaya is that bad, come on now we had worse! Matter of fact I think he is one of the most sexy contestants out there.I'm going to keep voting for him and I don't care what anyone thinks!!

Last night was the first night that I did not think Sanjaya was the worst singer of the night so I don't have a problem with him being around another week. While it is a singing competition, it is also a popularity contest. I suspect there are a lot of power dialers out there keeping him around.
I have nothing againts what race he is, that doesnt matter at all to me. Vocal wise, in my opinion he is the worst. He seems like a nice guy and everything but I don't believe he has what it takes to continue.

Why people can't accept that Sanjaya is still there? Why you all are jealous of him? He is very popular among teens. and has a large fan base. R people only making him a scapegoat because his ethinicity?

I'm in ohio also, the radio stations are very funny about the whole stupid situation. It's always nice to hear them talk about how crappy he is.

Sanjaya is a shameless bastard who looks like a whore and he really needs to start packing. Stupid Americans . . . . . VOTE HIM OUT ! ! He must be a pariah breed indian. Probably he would have made is in Indian Idol. HE SUCKS ! ! !

Idol is becoming a joke on the radio in my area. Sanjaya is the topic. People are voting for him because he is so bad. They think it is funny. I am not amused.

I think Chris has only himself to blame, a sub par performance and some of his earlier blunders and arrogance hurt him I think. He was getting hard to relate to and hadn't built up a constituency. Now he can go home for awhile and promote his recently released albumn with his bandmates.
