Battling for our affection this week are our Top 9 Idols who are going to be picking songs from the most popular downloads.
Let's get into the show!

Anoop Desai
Song Choice:Voting Numbers
This was so much better for Anoop and a pretty good way to kick off tonight's show.
Randy: You definitely picked up your swagger this week. Vocally it was cool but I wasn't sure it was the right song for you.
Kara: When you pick Usher you have to go up in your range and mix it up but that was a little safe.
Paula: I wasn't sure at first but I'm glad you've gone back to your playful side. I would work more on your stage presence.
Simon: I thought it was a complete and utter mess. You came across as a wannabe college boy wanting to be a popstar.
Megan Corkery
Song Choice:Voting Numbers
I don't think that was a smart song choice for Megan. Where has her fun side gone?.
Randy: Song choice.
Kara: I really like you but I think you're in trouble. It was just not the song choice for you.
Paula: Wanted to see a sensitive and vulnerable performance on a chair with a spotlight.
Simon: The song was boring, indulgent and monotonous and all the things we liked about you are disappearing.
Danny Gokey
Song Choice:Voting Numbers
I like this song. The performance of it was adequate but Gokey just doesn't do it for me.
Randy: I feel the competition started here tonight. Just keep it moving now and rock it.
Kara: You moved everyone in this room emotionally and you totally connected with the audience.
Paula: This is where you thrive and you leave me wanting more.
Simon: I thought that was your best performance of the series. Compared to the previous singers tonight that was like a racehorse competing with two snails.
Allison Iraheta
Song Choice:Voting Numbers
Forget the performance, who dressed Allison this week?!
Randy: Vocally you can sing. I liked that you came out and played the guitar but what is with the outfit?!
Kara: You don't need to look the part. It was a little distracting. You don't have to try, you just are.
Paula: Loved your axe!
Simon: It was a bit of a dress up rock star and we lost something there and you shouted the song.
Scott MacIntyre
Song Choice:Voting Numbers
It was ok but again, I don't find him inspiring.
Randy: One of the best of the night.
Kara: I think you made some very smart decisions tonight. Great song choice coming from an honest place.
Paula: Out of all the contestants who have graced our stage, you...
Simon: Your best performance.
Matt Giraud
Song Choice:Voting Numbers
Another great song for tonight but it was a little karaoke for me.
Randy: You've got to let all the flavour for what works for you.
Kara: You are talented but I'm unsure of the kind of record you would make.
Paula: We know who you are but that wasn't a great performance for you.
Simon: I didn't get it at all and again it felt like someone trying to be someone else.
Lil Rounds
Song Choice:Voting Numbers
Was ok. But safe.
Randy: I didn't think that was the right song for you but you sung it well.
Kara: When you go up there it's effortless. Tonight we caught a glimpse of what we saw at the start.
Paula: I don't want to see an Adult Contemporary artist from you.
Simon: I find that quite similar to a wedding performance. The song was too soft. That was just so old fashioned and it's like your personality has been sucked out of you.
Adam Lambert
Song Choice:Voting Numbers
If that wasn't indulgent then I don't know what was. But still, it was hot.
Randy: This wasn't as corny as I thought it was going to be.
Kara: I can't wait to get to the show to see what you're going to do next.
Paula: Stephen Tyle, Mick Jagger and Adam Lambert.
Simon: I don't think it matters with you now.
Kris Allen
Song Choice:Voting Numbers
Kris has really stepped it up over the last few weeks.
Randy: Definitely one of the best tonight.
Kara: That was artistry.
Paula: That could be a first cut.
Simon: That was a very good arrangement and your best performance.
David Cook and Lady Ga Ga tomorrow night as one more goes home.
